The DOCK Children’s Ministry serves children ages birth-5th grade, which includes the Treehouse Nursery Ministry and Little Explorers Preschool. We are excited about the opportunity that God has given us to care for and disciple the youngest of his sheep.  God’s Word permeates all that we do with our children here at Covenant Life as we teach them the truth of his love through the gospel of Jesus Christ, equip them to be followers of Jesus in our broken world, and facilitate opportunities for them to grow in fellowship with their peers.  Our partnership with parents and committed volunteers from our church body gives great depth to this ministry.

God is at work among us!

At Covenant Life, our commitment is to disciple our children by teaching them God's Word to equip them to become life-long followers of Jesus.

Psalm 119:105

As our children learn what Jesus has done for them, we shepherd them in their understanding of their responsibility to share the love of Jesus with others.

Connect Kids

Through our times together each week on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, we cultivate a community of service and fellowship among our children.

Please check in any children in the lobby prior to the beginning of the service.

Upon check-in, children will receive a name tag and parents will receive a confirmation tag that is used to pick up their kids after the service.

Dismiss from Service:

Just before the sermon, the pastor will dismiss the children.

As children exit the auditorium, they will turn right and line up by the stairs in the lobby. They will be escorted by our teacher up to the DOCK children's area.

At the conclusion of the service, parents will pick their children up from the DOCK children's area upstairs by presenting the check-in tag that matches the code on the name tag. Discipleship Classes

Each Sunday at 9:45 am, we have a time of Discipleship for our children concurrent with classes for adults. Discipleship Classes are a time for intentional Bible teaching to our kids. We use the Great Commission Publication's Show Me Jesus curriculum for these classes. Kids are divided into 4 classes: PreK4 (VPK) and Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grade, and 4th-5th Grade. Parent tags must be presented to check children out from their classes at 10:45 am.

Wednesday Nights at the DOCK

The DOCK meets on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00 pm for children in PreK4 (VPK) through 5th grade. Each week we have times of teaching, worship, crafts, recreation, and small groups.  The children are learning the Shorter Catechism on Wednesday nights using the Kids Quest Catechism Club curriculum.  Wednesday nights are a special night for our upper elementary students because they have the opportunity to serve our younger kids by doing things such as leading worship, running the sound board and technology, and leading group activities.

If you have any further questions about our DOCK Children's Ministry please contact Blythe Sizemore, our Director of Children's Ministry.

On Sunday mornings at 8:30am, 9:45am and 10:45am our “Treehouse” is divided into several branches that are full of fun playtime, crafts and age appropriate lessons. Children ages 2-4 are currently learning from the Jesus Storybook Bible curriculum. In addition to short lessons based on Bible stories, the children are learning to memorize catechism questions and answers as part of their regular instruction time.

Our trained teachers and volunteers are excited to care for your little ones and to partner with you as we lay a foundation based on Christ’s love and Biblical truth. So check in your child and enjoy some time for yourselves to worship and grow. Parents may choose to take their children into the service to worship together as a family and then drop them  off at our nursery or drop them off prior to the service. Keeping your kids safe is a top priority, so please review our check-in process.

The nursery is also open for regularly scheduled Wednesday night programs as well as for special events.

If you have any further questions about our Treehouse Nursery, please contact Lisa Carlson, our Nursery Director.
